This is a series of birth stories told by the mothers who have just delivered their babies in a loving and gentle way into the arms of Bumi Sehat midwives. Bumi Sehat means Healthy Earth Mother. It was founded in 1995 by CNN Hero and midwife, Ibu Robin Lim, where she began providing health services free of charge for pregnant women and children under the age of five in the Ubud, Bali area. Today, Bumi Sehat Foundation International operates two Community Health Education and Childbirth Centers – one in Bali and another in post-tsunami Aceh, Indonesia.
